COTEC-BPI SME Innovation Award, with the support of the daily newspaper “Público”
It was during the 11th National COTEC Innovation Meeting, held on 26 February 2015 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, that the 2014 winning SMEs of the COTEC-BPI SME Innovation Award, with the support of the daily newspaper “Público”, were known. Celoplás – Plasticos para a Indústria S.A., in a distinction that honoured us and that reflects our work over 25 years, was considered one of the winning SMEs together with Vision-Box – Computer Vision Solutions, thus winning the COTEC-BPI SME Innovation Award ex-aequo. The award jury also awarded a Special Mention to BERD – Bridge Engineering Research & Design.
This award is the result of a position taken by Celoplás in which the accumulated experience and knowledge, as well as the research and development effort we have been carrying out, allow us to communicate today at a very high level in order to respond to new requests with demanding technical requirements, also strengthening the foundations of future business areas in markets of high potential and growth such as health, telecommunications and micro technologies.
Within this context, we highlight the position we have been playing in different national and international consortiums such as the Tribone project, which consists on the moulding of components in ceramic material compatible with human bone, and which has recently had some media recognition by the news agencies; as well as the International projects of the 7th Framework Programme, VECTOR and Aquafarmcontrol, linked to Microelectronics and to Sea respectively.
